Lunch time:
The best time to eat lunch is 4-5 hours after breakfast to help stabilize blood sugar levels. If you eat breakfast at 7-8 am (the best time for breakfast), then have lunch at 11-12 pm.
If you have a full breakfast, then have a healthy light lunch. The ideal snack combines protein, carbs and healthy fats such as an apple with some nuts or green vegetables. This will help balance the body and you will not feel hungry at the next meal.
The main lunch should be a nutritious meal to prevent hunger at dinner.
4 main foods for lunch:
– Protein-rich foods such as salmon, chicken, tuna, nuts, tofu, lean beef, eggs… are all very good.
– Fruits: fresh fruits are great desserts for a perfect lunch without causing excess energy in the afternoon such as apples, oranges, mangoes, avocados, blueberries, small, bananas….
– Beans, peas, peanuts, sesame: high protein content from 17-25% with beans, soybeans up to 34% containing lysine. The protein content in peanuts is 27.5% but less than beans, peas.
– Fish and fish products: high protein content in fish from 16-17%, has enough essential amino acids.
Shrimp, eel, crab… all have high protein content.
What happens to your body when you skip lunch?
Causes weight gain: hunger will stimulate you to feel extremely hungry. Forcing you to consume more food.
Digestive disorders.
Affected mood: due to lack of energy, you will be stressed and work efficiency will decrease, over time you will become depressed.
Whatever the case, you should never skip lunch.
